Geoff and Gary McNaughton share-milk in partnership on their parents' farm in Paengaroa. After milking 500 cows in a 26-bail herringbone for 10 years, they decided that it was necessary to build a new shed. After long deliberatiion they chose to install a 44-bail Waikato Milking Systems Supa 4 milking machine.

Jim and Sandra Andrew farm at Isla Bank in Southland, on a 174 hectare (effective) property, milking 550 cows.

Being an ex banker, Jim was very vigilant regarding the capital investment and he and Sandra decided to opt for a 52-bail twin-pit rather than a rotary. With 26 sets of cups in each pit and 8 Waikato Milking Systems electronic cup removers at the end of each pit, they are able to milk 400 cows/hour with only 2 people.
